Sam Laufer

Founder & Chief Designer

With over 25 years of experience in acoustic engineering, Sam founded Teknik Audio with a vision to recreate the live music experience in home environments. His innovative approach to speaker design has earned him multiple patents and industry recognition. Sam's abundance of industry connections and deep knowledge of the audio industry have been instrumental in establishing Teknik Audio's reputation and partnerships with leading manufacturers and designers worldwide.

Mark Porzilli

Porzilli Audio

A quantum physicist with an IQ over 200, Mark's extraordinary career began at age 16 when he designed innovative electronics for Bausch & Lomb. Over two decades, his company Melos Audio became the third largest vacuum tube manufacturer worldwide, with ten products listed in Stereophile's Class A and B recommendations for 10 consecutive years. Mark designed the acclaimed Pipedreams speakers, called 'the finest speaker in the world' by The Absolute Sound, and later created the award-winning Scaena line arrays. His genius-level intellect and quantum physics background drive Teknik's groundbreaking audio innovations.

William Duncan

William holds a PhD in physics and his background in materials science and industrial design has shaped Teknik's distinctive aesthetic and acoustic properties. His research into resonance control and cabinet construction has revolutionized how Teknik speakers interact with their environment.
